From the word go, the new Geely Emgrand EC7 has been designed to be a world model. Outstanding technology and performance to surpass Chinese standards were part and parcel of the new project, with massive domestic and international sales success proof of the fact that Geely’s new vision – quality and value for money – is paying off.

Active and passive safety features include ABS with EBD, driver and front passenger airbags, side impact beams in all four the doors, pre-tensioners with force limiters for the front seatbelts, three-point seat belts for each of the seats front and rear, an intelligent reversing sensor, built-in mini fire extinguisher compliments of Chinese law, and a host of other less visible features.

REINFORCED BODY STRUCTURE

The EC7’s energy absorbing body incorporates full body anti-collision beams and  through the use of seamless laser welding with over 4750 welding spots throughout the vehicle, the EC7 ‘s passive safety features aim to minimize damage to cabin space while protecting passengers.

BOSCH ABS+EBD WITH HIGHEST VERSION 8.1

The EC7 is fitted with Bosch 8.1 ® ABS and EBD system. This system reduces braking distances, particularly on slippery surfaces, and produces fewer brake pedal vibrations.  

AIRBAGS

The EC7 is equipped with dual front airbags to protect occupants during a collision.  These airbags have been design using advanced CAD technology and optimized using by CAE technology. 

4-WHEEL DISC BRAKE

The front ventilated disc and rear solid disc brakes have good reactivity, stability and heat dispersion.

FRONT PRETENSION SAFETY BELT

In the event of a collision, the front pretension safety belts firmly tighten in order to safely restrain the front occupants. The 3–point safety belts in the vehicle all incorporate automatic middle and rear locking in the event of sudden braking.
